There were a number of tears in the conveyor belts due to the medium that was being transported along the conveyors. If the belts had torn completely the materials would have spread all over the internal of the operation and the whole plant would have to be shut down to repair.
The application the the Belzona 2311 is very fast and effective due to its fast curing nature.

The customer had noticed problems with their cement storage silo and after inspecting found that the lid was severely corroded and was letting in rainwater. The silo is 11 meters high, to replace the lid would be logistically very difficult and incredibly expensive.
The lid was cleaned thoroughly using a bristle blaster as grit blasting was not possible at the height required due to logistical and environmental factors. Steel plates were then bonded to the lid using Belzona 1111 where required to repair the holed areas. Once the plates were bonded into place and the Belzona 1111 had cured, two coats of Belzona 5811 were applied to the silo lid.

Anti Cavitation Systems
Due to the shape of the rudders, coupled with disturbed water flowing from the propeller, and the high manouevrability of the vessel, cavitation damage occurs leading to severe erosion corrosion pitting.
Rebuilding of the pitted areas was carried out using Belzona 1311. Belzona 1341 was used as the first coat to provide optimum adhesion and corrosion resistance. The Belzona 2141 system was applied as the top coating to provide cavitation resistance.
